It appears that the Illinois Tollway needs to be notified immediately by Chairman Walberg of these concerns from the Fire District. It appears that this must be done by May 15, 2013. This should be of concern to all of the county board.

Mr. Walberg please notify myself and the rest of the board if you have taken such action. If not, why not.

Thank you.

BILL PYSSON

District One

Dear Board Members:

Just a quick note to update you on the discussions with the Toll Authority and Spring Township residents about the future of the Johnson bridge and the bridge replacement plans underway along I-90. From a meeting that occurred Friday April 26th, the Tollway officials said they would delay the removal of the Johnson bridge until the work is completed on the Genoa bridge. The idea was brought up to replace the Johnson bridge, however the Tollway officials believe that the Spring Center bridge would, in turn, not be replaced. This idea came about from their discussions with Township leaders and residents. Any of these ideas require approval of Senior Tollway officials. Present at the meeting Friday was myself, Chairman Walberg, Rich Lundin, and the new Township Supervisor Ryan Kufalk. The outgoing Supervisor (Jackie Falkenstein) deferred this to the new Supervisor. After visiting with the Roads Committee Chairman (Ron Wait), this will be discussed at the May 7th Committee meeting.

Please call if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Ken Terrinoni (on behalf of Bob Walberg).

Members of the Spring Township Community met on Tuesday April 30, 2013(picture shown below) and discussed their concerns which will be presented to the County Subcommittee on Roads and possibly to the entire county board at the monthly meeting.
